1. Purpose

This Privacy Policy explains how The Allied Health Hub collects, uses, stores, discloses and manages personal information.

2. Information we collect

We may collect information including name, contact details, account details, professional information, clinic or organisation details, billing and transaction information, profile content, communications, support requests, event or course activity, supervision or listing information, advertising information, device information, usage data and analytics data.

Where relevant and lawful, we may collect sensitive information such as professional registration details, health-related professional information, supervision-related information or information contained in user-submitted content.

2. SMS, Email and Push Notifications

The Allied Health Hub may communicate with users by email, SMS, in-app notification, push notification or other electronic messaging channels for purposes connected with account access, platform updates, bookings, events, courses, community activity, payments, support, safety notices and, where permitted, marketing or promotional communications. We use third-party communications providers, including Twilio and OneSignal, to help send and manage certain SMS, email and notification services. These providers may process information such as your name, email address, mobile number, device or browser identifiers, notification preferences, delivery status, engagement information and opt-out requests, solely for the purpose of delivering, managing and improving those communications. By providing your mobile number or enabling notifications, you consent to receiving relevant service-related communications from The Allied Health Hub. Where marketing SMS or promotional messages are sent, we will only do so where permitted by law and where appropriate consent has been obtained.

You can opt out of marketing SMS communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the message, such as replying STOP, or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing communications does not prevent us from sending important service, account, security, booking, payment or support-related messages where those messages are necessary for the operation of the platform. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile provider. The Allied Health Hub is not responsible for charges imposed by your carrier.

4. How we collect information

We collect information directly from users, through account creation, forms, purchases, support requests, communications, listings, content submissions, cookies, analytics tools, payment providers, advertising platforms and third-party integrations.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to operate the platform, provide services, process payments, manage accounts, support users, display profiles and listings, deliver events and courses, facilitate community features, manage advertising, improve services, send communications, maintain safety and comply with legal obligations.

6. Disclosure of information

We may disclose information to service providers, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics providers, advertising platforms, professional service providers, support tools, contractors, related entities, regulators, law enforcement or other parties where necessary to operate the platform, provide services, comply with law or protect rights and safety.

7. Public and platform-visible information

Some information you submit may be visible to other users or the public, including profile information, provider listings, event listings, course listings, job listings, comments, posts, reviews, group activity or other content you choose to publish.

8. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels, analytics tools and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

9. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10.Data Storage, Hosting and Security

The Allied Health Hub uses reputable cloud infrastructure providers, including Amazon Web Services, to host the platform, store files and support the secure operation of our services. This may include services such as Amazon EC2 for application hosting and Amazon S3 for file and object storage.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include access controls, encrypted connections, encryption of stored data where supported, secure cloud storage configuration, monitoring, backups and other security measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold.

While no system or method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we work to maintain appropriate safeguards and review our security practices as the platform develops.

11. Overseas disclosure

Some service providers or technology systems may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and manage privacy risk.

12. Access and correction

You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

13. Marketing communications

We may send service updates, platform communications, educational content, marketing communications or promotional messages where permitted. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications where an unsubscribe option is provided.

14. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain records and operate the platform.

15. Privacy complaints

If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact us through the support or contact details made available on The Allied Health Hub website. We will review privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable time.
