Lakehouse Media Website, Branding + Care Plan Inclusions:
Discovery Session / Project Plan Recap:
Reid from Lakehouse Media (Name TBC) is venturing out on his own to build a Real Estate Media Empire. After a Discovery Session to discuss the need for a business & brand strategy, new website, new branding and a potential digital strategy moving forward. Please see below a recap from our discovery session:
- Reid has been doing photography (under his own name brand) for a long time now and has come out of full time employment for a real estate agent and would like to now venture out on his own to be self employed.
- We spoke about when niching out into an area like this and starting out, the ideal scenario is that you have a business/domain that is built to scale. While we intiially explored options of ‘Real Estate Photography’ style names and URLs, it;s become evident that Reid has bigger ambitions and would like to take more of a Branded approach in order to scale and diversify his already diverse offering. It’s not just photograpy, but video and floor plan creation to name a few services that helps Real Estate Agencies stand out.
- This led us to advise on keeping your personal brand website as it is, and purchasing a new domain/business name from the outset.
- Domain name is still to be confirmed.
- I recommend against .au for now as it is still not clear on when Google will actually make/allow these to rank.
- Outside of starting up the niche, Reids goals are to connect with 6 more full time agents in the local Hunter area from Newcastle, Lake Mac and the Hunter region. While he can travel outside of that area, he does charge for travel.
- Off the back of our convo about ‘what’ to put on the niched real estate media site, we recommended clearly communicating how Reid alleviates pain points for real estate agents and being super clear on all the awesome inclusions he offers like those floor plans.
- Depending on the business/domain name he goes with a new logo/branding will be needed
Reid like the idea of ‘online booking’ however we identified that this would likely be relatively low for ‘cold leads’ and the focus would be more on connecting with agents, communicating the benefits, setting them up with an account where they can login and book. Even if you can add them to your database and vice versa, giving them a ‘second option’ if/when their current photographers cannot do the shoot is also another great way to connect with agents - While we spoke about a possible integration with https://www.tonomo.io/. For now a simple Calendly embed option should suffice.
With regards to Google Ads, it would be best to have another chat with Josh towards the end of the rebuild to assess what services you would like to promote.
