FAQs about Hub Marketing

Any provider offering content or services on The Allied Health Hub — CPD events, online courses, supervision sessions or job listings. Whether you’re an individual provider, a professional development organisation or a clinic owner, we can help you reach a bigger and more targeted audience.

Yes — Hub promotion is designed specifically to drive traffic to your listings and content on the platform. If you’re not yet on The Hub, signing up is free and the natural first step.

That depends on what you’re promoting, who you want to reach, your timeline and your budget. Rather than fitting you into a fixed package, we start with a conversation and recommend the right combination of options from there.

When we run paid campaigns on your behalf, they run through The Allied Health Hub’s established ad accounts rather than your own. This means stronger platform trust, better domain authority, and ads that appear from The Allied Health Hub — a recognised brand in the Allied Health space. You also hand off all the technical setup: pixels, targeting, optimisations and ongoing management.

For paid promotion campaigns, your ad spend is part of your package fee with us and gets paid directly to the platform (eg Meta or Google) via our accounts. We’ll give you a clear recommendation on your overall promotion budget based on your goals and timeline before anything is agreed.

Reach out via our enquiry form and we’ll get back to you to discuss your content, your audience and the best promotional approach. No commitment required from that initial conversation.

FAQs About Our Discovery Sessions

In most scenarios, our calls are run with the business owner. Please ensure that all stakeholders, partners or decision makers are available to chat with us.

We’ll have a structure for the session and a list of questions to help us get to know you and your business. Just have a think about what your goals are and what you’d like to achieve in the next 12 months.

Our Discovery Sessions run for up to an hour and involve senior members of our team. We use that time to genuinely understand your clinic — your goals, your current situation, and exactly how we can help. Charging for the session ensures we’re working with clinic owners who are serious about investing in their digital presence, so we can give every session the attention it deserves.

While we may finish earlier, please allow up to an hour for the discovery session. This allows us the time to really understand your business alongside your goals and wishes for your website, marketing or digital space and how we can help.

Please reach out to us via email. We know as business owners and practitioners your days can be full. We’d be happy to find a time that suits everyone!

FAQ – Websites and Care Plans

The first step is to test your site. This provides us both with a report about your current site and what might need improving on.

From there, you’ll get an invite to book a discovery session with our team via zoom. We dig quite deep in these sessions to find out what you want, what your goals are and how exactly we can help you achieve them. If you don’t have a website yet or already know it desperately needs work, feel free to jump straight into a discovery session here.

For a service orientated website (like a health clinic) we generally allow between 8 – 12 weeks, depending on the scope of the project. Our deadlines work both ways and we do require clients to be timely in providing content and images, to enable us to stick to this timeframe.

For most Allied Health clinics, the website is the front door to the business — it’s where patients find you, learn about your services, and book appointments. An hour of downtime isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s missed bookings, lost trust, and potential patients who found someone else instead.

Your website isn’t a set-and-forget asset — it’s live, maintained infrastructure that needs ongoing attention to stay fast, secure and online. Every month, regardless of whether you submit a support request, our team is working on your site: updating plugins and themes, debugging conflicts, renewing and managing software licences, monitoring uptime, running daily backups, and hosting your site on fast cloud servers. Most of this work happens in the background and you’ll never see it — but you’d notice quickly if it stopped.

On top of that, your care plan gives you direct access to our team via your own dedicated communication channel for support questions and website updates whenever you need them.

Think of it less like insurance and more like having a specialist technical team quietly keeping your clinic’s front door open, every single day.

Our standard website projects start from around $4000. However everyone’s needs are different, which is why we’ll host a discovery session with you before offering you a quote.

Sure do! We have built several sites using WooCommerce for online businesses including our friends Jesmond Fruit Barn.

Yes! In fact, we prefer to host your site when you build with us. We offer fast and reliable hosting as part of our website care plans, which also enables us to ensure your website performs well.

Yes! A lot of SEO practises such as security, fast load times, good user experience and local schema markup are included when we set up your website. These technical SEO factors can often be neglected on websites, however they are serious Google ranking factors. With the majority of our website builds, SEO rankings will naturally improve as your website will be set up according to how Google favours sites.

Having an ongoing organic SEO strategy is a whole other (long term) ball game. We generally take 3-6 months to assess how a new website is performing in search results before recommending other SEO services.

FAQ – Google Ads and PPC

Due to the variables of every business (locations, services, team size, budget etc) our Google Ads management cost is determined after an initial chat with our Ads experts.

That being said, the vast majority of accounts make more than they spend so you’ll quickly make back your investment, and then some.

Organic SEO is valuable — and it’s built into every website we deliver. But SEO is a long game. It can take months to see meaningful movement in search rankings, and there are geographic areas and competitive searches where ranking organically simply isn’t realistic.

Google Ads gives you precision that organic search can’t: you can target specific services, reach patients in a particular suburb, or direct bookings to a team member whose books need filling — and you can do it immediately. The results are fully measurable, so you always know what your spend is returning.

The two strategies work best together. Ads drive immediate, targeted results while your organic presence builds over time. We recommend both where budget allows, and we’ll always give you an honest view of where your money is best spent.

The best indication is that appointments booked through your website or through phone calls (depending on your goals) increases. Sometimes this can take some time, but conversions are always the best indicator.

Transparency is central to how we work. As part of your Ads management we’ll work out the best way to get real conversion data into your hands, whether that is through a regular report or a live dashboard. You can then see how many patients have enquired or booked, what you’ve spent, and what that spend has returned.

In the rare case a campaign isn’t performing as expected, we’ll tell you directly and work through the options with you. We’re invested in your clinic’s results, not just in running ads.

Although Google Ads is one of the fastest online marketing platforms to get results on, there is still a ‘learning’ period in which the Google algorithm indexes your ads. Google states that this learning period is approximately 7 days. After the 7 days we will optimise the copy, keywords and targeting of the ad.

The process of launching, optimising, and waiting on Google to learn the ads generally takes up to 1 month, after which you will begin to see more accurate results. However, the longer you optimise your ads the better your campaigns will be, so we suggest that the most accurate results are seen after 3 – 6 months.

Your Ad spend is up to you, but we will make recommendations based off your business and our expertise. For example, for a one-location business with three service campaigns, we’d suggest $1,000 per month.

The best way to calculate your ad spend is to determine your average customer lifetime value. Then consider what acquisition cost you would pay for a client, as a percentage of that value. Then determine how many new customers you could handle in a month. Times the acquisition fee by the desired customers and that’s your monthly ad spend!

You could — but a well-managed Google Ads account takes multiple hours per week to maintain properly, and that’s assuming Google hasn’t changed their algorithm. In our experience, accounts managed in-house are often under-optimised, running on wasteful keywords, or tracking conversions inaccurately. That’s time and budget that could be working harder elsewhere in your clinic.

While you aren’t locked in to a contract, we do recommend sticking to Google Ads for at least 3 – 6 months. This is so that there is adequate time to properly optimise your ads and keywords, and drill down on your targeting. We have found that only after 3 – 6 months can you begin to see proper consistent growth of leads who will usually become lifetime clients.

What we guarantee is an account that is built and managed to the highest standard — structured correctly, optimised consistently, and focused on real conversions rather than vanity metrics.

Results will always vary based on factors like ad spend, location, competition and the services you’re promoting. A single-location clinic in a regional area will see different results to a multi-location clinic in a major city — and we’ll set realistic expectations from the start based on your specific situation. Our goal is consistent, sustainable new patient growth that your clinic can actually handle.
